Strong winds and blowing snow could create difficult driving conditions
DETROIT LAKES, Minn.— (1:00 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises motorists to drive with caution in west central Minnesota due to blowing snow and scattered slippery spots.
Most roads in the region are currently in fair driving condition, but motorists should be aware that conditions could change quickly.
Officials do not anticipate any interstate or highway closures at this time; however, motorists may encounter brief lane and road closures where crashes occur.
Motorists should remember to check road conditions at www.511mn.org or call 511, and slow down to a safe speed for current conditions.
