Orange barrels on a highway

Highway 75 detour east of Ortonville begins June 25

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Motorists on Highway 75 between Highway 12 in Ortonville and the east junction of Highway 7 near Odessa will encounter a detour and possible delays when a road resurfacing project begins June 25, weather permitting.

During the project Highway 75 will close, and motorists will detour onto Highway 12 and Big Stone County Road 21.

Residents who live within the road closure will be allowed to use Highway 75 during the project.

The road work is expected to be complete by late July, weather permitting.

Highway 7 northwest of Ortonville remains closed. Traffic in that area is detoured onto Highway 75 and Highway 28.

When the Highway 75 project is complete, motorists will notice a smoother, safer ride along nine miles of roadway.
