Pedestrian accessibility work begins May 28 in Ortonville

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — A pedestrian accessibility improvement project in Ortonville will begin Tuesday, May 28, weather permitting. Work will begin downtown.

Pedestrians in Ortonville will experience sidewalk detours in the work area.

Traffic on Highway 7/Second Street may experience intermittent lane closures and parking restrictions near work zones. Cross streets may temporarily close.

This work ensures the sidewalks along Highway 7 are accessible for all pedestrians.

Additional roadwork in and near Ortonville will begin in June. The Minnesota Department of Transportation will release more information in advance of that project.
