TRAVEL ADVISORY—Hwy 75 closes near Kent due to flooding


DETROIT LAKES, Minn. – (10:45 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol closed Highway 75 near Kent this evening due to flooding.

Traffic will detour to Wilkin County Road 3 and Wilkin County Road 26.

Highway 75 will remain closed until further notice.

When a road is closed it is illegal to travel in that area. Motorists can be fined up to $1,000 and/or 90 days in jail. In addition, if travelers need to be rescued from a closed road, other expenses and penalties will apply.
