Open house for Hwys 10, 59 and frontage road reconstruction set for April 23

DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—The Minnesota Department of Transportation and city of Detroit Lakes invite the public to attend an open house on Tuesday, April 23, about reconstructing Hwy 10, Hwy 59, the adjacent frontage road system and Thomas Street in Detroit Lakes.

The open house is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. at the Minnesota State Community and Technical College, 900 Highway 34, Detroit Lakes, Minn. A brief presentation will take place at 6 p.m.

The meeting is an opportunity for the public to review the preliminary design plans for the project and to discuss issues and concerns about the project and its impacts on area businesses and residents. Engineers will use the information gathered at this meeting to develop final design plans for the project, which is scheduled for construction in 2015. Project representatives will be available to respond to comments and questions.
