All lanes of I-94 reopen northwest of Fergus Falls

DETROIT LAKES, Minn. -- All four lanes of Interstate 94 northwest of Fergus Falls have reopened to traffic, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

Motorists have encountered lane closures and a two-mile traffic bypass since mid-July while crews reconstructed the eastbound I-94 bridge deck over Otter Tail County Road 21.

Next summer crews will reconstruct the westbound bridge deck.

The upgrades will prolong the life of the bridges and result in a smoother road surface.
