Expect high traffic volumes on Detroit Lakes area roadways Aug.1- 5
DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—Motorists should expect heavy traffic volumes on Detroit Lakes area highways—especially Highway 59—Wednesday, Aug. 1, through Sunday, Aug. 5.
More than 50,000 visitors will attend the 30th annual WE Fest Country Music Festival at Soo Pass Ranch south of Detroit Lakes.
Motorists should be patient, expect delays and be prepared for sudden stops on Highway 59. The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to take alternative routes and avoid the area, if possible.
