Eighth Street railroad crossing replacement in Moorhead begins July 2
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — Motorists on Eighth Street in Moorhead will encounter a detour starting July 2 when a railroad crossing replacement project between Center Avenue and Main Avenue begins.
Traffic will be routed to 14th Street while crews replace and resurface the existing crossing.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe estimates the crossing replacement and pavement curing process will be complete July 13.
The work will increase safety and create a smoother driving surface at the crossing.
