Highway 78 project meeting set for June 19
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. — The public is invited to attend a meeting on Tuesday, June 19, to discuss a 2013 construction project on Highway 78 between Perham and Battle Lake. The open house style meeting is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. at Battle Lake City Hall, 108 Main St. E., Battle Lake, Minn. A presentation will take place at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting is an opportunity to discuss next year’s project on Highway 78, which will include:
- Reconstructing three city blocks in cooperation with the city of Battle Lake
- Milling and resurfacing the roadway
- Replacing culverts
- Constructing a turn lane and bypass lane at Otter Tail County Road 54
Representatives from the Minnesota Department of Transportation and the city of Battle Lake will be available to discuss the overall scope of the project and potential traffic impacts from construction.
