Highway 75/Clay County Road 12 open to traffic
Project completed ahead of schedule
DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—Motorists will no longer encounter a detour for the roundabout construction project at Highway 75 and Clay County Road 12 south of Moorhead. Crews opened the intersection to traffic at 4:15 p.m. today, approximately two weeks ahead of schedule.
The detour was removed and Highway 75 and Clay County Road 12 are open to all traffic. The intersection was closed since Aug. 1. The project also included resurfacing Clay County Road 12 between Highway 75 and the Red River and replacing the east Red River bridge approach.
Crews will complete some seeding work on the Clay County Road 12 shoulders during the next week, which will have minimal traffic impacts.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation appreciates residents’ and motorists’ patience and cooperation during this construction project. This work will greatly improve safety and mobility at this intersection.
