UPDATE: Hwy 55 east of Lowry open to traffic
DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—(12:30 p.m.) Hwy 55 east of Lowry opened to traffic today at approximately 12:15 p.m. The Minnesota Department of Transportation and the Minnesota State Patrol closed Hwy 55 on Aug. 1 due to storm damage and downed power lines.
Motorists should watch for lane closures and flaggers directing traffic through the area through the end of today while the power company continues clean-up operations.
