Highway 29 project between Wadena, Highway 210 begins Aug. 1
DETROIT LAKES, Minn. —Motorists on Highway 29 between Highway 71 in Wadena and Highway 210 will experience delays when a construction project begins Aug. 1.
Crews will begin concrete work in Wadena and ditch cleaning along the rural section of the project next week. This work may require shoulder closures and brief lane closures.
The entire project includes resurfacing the road, replacing culverts and making intersection improvements in Wadena.
The culvert work will require a detour at a later date to be determined. During the detour, traffic will be routed to Otter Tail County Road 75 and Highway 210. Local traffic will maintain access throughout the project.
Construction is scheduled to be completed in late fall. Upon completion, these improvements will provide a safer road with better conditions and improved accessibility.
