Highway 9 resurfacing project south of Morris wrapping up
Detour has been removed
DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—Motorists can expect fewer delays on Highway 9 south of Morris after crews removed the detour between Morris and Benson on June 11.
Crews are currently completing pavement marking and miscellaneous clean-up work that requires short lane closures and shoulder closures.
The project includes resurfacing Highway 9 between Stevens County Road 22 and the Stevens/Pope county line and all of Highway 329. This work increases safety and improves mobility along those corridors.
All work is scheduled to be completed by July 1, weather permitting.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation appreciates residents’ and motorists’ patience and cooperation during this construction project.
