Interstate 94 resurfacing project between Barnesville and Downer scheduled to begin May 2
DETROIT LAKES, Minn.—Motorists on Interstate 94 between Barnesville and Downer may encounter delays when a resurfacing project of the westbound lanes begins May 2. However, the project could possibly begin later depending on when spring road restrictions are lifted.
Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the project. Westbound and eastbound motorists will experience lane closures during the first week while crews install temporary crossovers in the median.
For the remainder of the project, all traffic will shift to the eastbound lanes while crews resurface the westbound lanes.
The project is scheduled to be completed July 8, weather permitting.
