Update Spring 2008 (May 22, 2008)
Public
meeting scheduled for Sept. 3 on the Highway 23 Mississippi
River bridge project (Aug. 28, 2008) The meeting will
begin at 12:15 p.m. at St. Cloud City Hall Council Chambers,
400 Second Street South. Representatives from Lunda Construction
and the Minnesota Department of Transportation will provide
a short update and answer questions.
Highway
23 Mississippi River Bridge demolition in St. Cloud (Aug.
21, 2008) Beginning Monday, Aug. 25, crews will install security
fences, construct river access on the southeast side of the
river and remove the railing and lighting off the deck. The
existing bridge deck will be removed, by sections, which should
take about two months.

23 detour resumes original trek in St. Cloud (Aug. 12, 2008)
MnDOT
announces apparent bid winner for Highway 23 bridge project
in St. Cloud (July 25, 2008) Lunda Construction of Black
River Falls, Wis., is the apparent low bid winner for the Highway
23 bridge replacement.
Nighttime
single-lane closures planned for Veterans bridge in St. Cloud
July 7-11 (July 3, 2008) Westbound right lane closure
with single lane traffic, each night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.,
beginning Monday night, July 7, and ending Friday night, July
11.
Both
eastbound Highway 23 lanes close to local traffic in east
St. Cloud Aug. 7 (Aug. 6, 2008) For approximately one
week, from Wilson Avenue to Lincoln Avenue. Highway 23 detour
remains in effect.

23 detour modifies as utility work gets underway in St. Cloud
June 23 (June 19, 2008) Both westbound and eastbound Highway
23 traffic will be detoured via Lincoln Avenue, St. Germain
Street and Fourth Avenue in St. Cloud. Work to be complete
by early August.

23 Bridge Update (March 24, 2008)
MnDOT
closes Highway 23/Division Street bridge in St. Cloud
(March 20, 2008) Traffic will be detoured via 4th Avenue,
St. Germain Street and Wilson Avenue. In addition, motorists
can use Highway 15, Benton County Road 29, Highway 10 back
to Highway 23/Division Street.
