About this project

MnDOT will improve Highway 55 from the east limits of Paynesville to one mile west of Regal, in 2019. Hwy 55 will close/detour for up to six weeks to do bridge work in Paynesville.

Summary of work

  • Resurface nine miles of road (mill and overlay), includes shoulders and turn-lanes
  • Re-deck and improve the bridge over the Canadian Pacific Railway line, west of Hwy 23 in Paynesville
  • Upgrade guardrail
  • Install mumble and rumble strips
