Summary of work

  • Reconstruct 12 miles of road surface (full-depth reclaim), includes shoulders and turn-lanes
  • Widen the roadway and install a new center left-turn lane east of Wright CR 8/Oak Ave to 53rd St NW in Maple Lake to improve access to Elm Ave, Division St and adjacent business entrances
  • Repair or replace underground drainage structures and remove old cattle passes
  • Improve pedestrian access, includes sidewalks and approaches, and signal at Wright CR 8/Oak Ave in Maple Lake
  • Upgrade guardrail and install rumble strips

Work to be completed in three stages between April and August 2019.

Stage 1: Annandale to Maple Lake
Road closes to through traffic between Annandale Blvd and CR 7/37. Detour uses CR 5 and CR 37. Map, PDF

Stage 2: Maple Lake to Buffalo

Road closes to through traffic between CR 8/Oak Ave and Hwy 25. Detour uses CR 8/Oak Ave, CR 37 and Hwy 25. Temp signal at CR 8 and CR 37 in Maple Lake. Stage 2 begins after June 1, when school season ends. Map, PDF

Stage 3: Maple Lake

Single-lane closures with flaggers between CR 7/37 and CR 8/Oak Ave. Map, PDF

Information is tentative and subject to change pending contractor.

Local access
