Reconstruct 14 miles of Hwy 210 road surface (full-depth reclamation), includes shoulders and turn-lanes
Reconstruct the Hwy 210 and CR 12 (Deerwood shortcut) intersection
Repair or replace underground drainage structures, includes pipes:
West of CR 147 (Crow Wing County Landfill)
West of CR 59
West of CR 12 (Deerwood shortcut)
Add left turn lanes at CR 25, CR 147 (Crow Wing County Landfill), CR 59
Add bypass lanes at the Mississippi Northwoods entrance, Sploezens Rd and a trucking business entrance east of CR 147
Add a continuous center left turn lane from west of Jordan Rd to the Airport Rd/CR 142
Install mumble and rumble strips

Crews will begin to prepare work areas in June, 2019. Roadwork and detour is tentatively scheduled to begin after the week of 4th of July, 2019. Sign up for email updates.

Hwy 210 will close and detour along Hwy 25 Brainerd, Hwy 18 to Hwy 6 Deerwood and Hwy 6/Hwy 210 to Crosby-Ironton. Detour map, PDF
To improve traffic flow and ease congestion on the detour, MnDOT will install a:
Temporary mini roundabout at the east intersection of Hwy 6 and Hwy 210, just north of the railroad tracks, in Deerwood. Watch for trains, and stay off railroad tracks.
Temporary traffic signal at the "T" intersection of Hwy 25/Mill Ave and the westbound Hwy 210 access connection to Hwy 25 in Brainerd.
Hwy 18 bypass lane at the Hwy 6 intersection near Bay Lake.
Local access
Access to businesses and residences to be maintained and open, however expect some changes and gravel surfaces. The road will be temporarily impassable at some locations to complete underground work, seek nearest alternative route. Work area map, PDF
Work plan
Half-way point Crow Wing County Landfill
The project will be constructed in two segments: east of CR 147 (Crow Wing County Landfill) to Ironton, or west of CR 147 (Crow Wing County Landfill) to Brainerd.
