Roadwork on Highway 10 Big Lake to Elk River

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists should expect lane closures on a 10-mile stretch of Highway 10 from Sherburne County Road 43 in Big Lake to 185th Avenue/Joplin Street in Elk River began Monday, Aug. 16.

Crews will mill and pave a new blacktop road surface, including shoulders and turn lanes and install pedestrian access improvements at intersections.

Traffic impacts:

  • Reduced speeds, lane closures/shifts, flaggers controlling traffic at accesses and slow heavy moving equipment entering and exiting the work area.

Work hours:

  • Weekdays from approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. each day.

This improvement project will extend the life of the roadway and give a smoother overall ride for motorists.

Hardrives of Rogers is the prime contractor for the $5 million project, anticipated to be completed by mid november.
