St. Cloud, Minn. - Motorists may encounter single lane closures on Interstate 94 beginning July 14, as crews microsurface nine miles of the road from east of Highway 71 in Sauk Centre to east of Melrose in Stearns County.
Traffic will be directed by flaggers and shift onto one lane through the work zone. Drivers are urged to slow down and be alert for flaggers, heavy moving equipment and a loose gravel road surface.
Crews will return in late August to install the permanent road striping.
No load permits over 12 feet wide will be allowed through the work zones, including house moving permits.
Astech Corp. of St. Joseph is the prime contractor for the project slated to be complete by late August, weather permitting.
