Expect heavy traffic volumes on Highway 10 St. Cloud June 25-27
Great Minnesota Air Show expected to draw 50,000 spectators

ST. CLOUD, Minn.-- Motorists traveling on Highway 10 and Highway 23 in the St. Cloud area will encounter high traffic volumes and lane closures due to the Great Minnesota Air Show event being held at the St. Cloud Regional Airport on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27.

The weekend event is estimated to draw up to 50,000 spectators to the St. Cloud metro area. The additional traffic, combined with seasonal recreational traffic, will increase traffic on area roadways.

The St. Cloud Regional Airport is located a few miles off Highway 10 at Sherburne County Road 7 in southeast St. Cloud and Sherburne County Road 65 west of Clear Lake.

Motorists traveling on Highway 10 should be prepared for lane closures at event accesses, stopped traffic and significant delays. Law enforcement officials will be directing traffic through the area.

Attendees are encouraged to use the Park & Ride lots and shuttle services.

These intersections will be used for event accesses and will be very busy:

  • Highway 10 at Sherburne County Road 65 - South Orange Park & Ride lot.
  • Highway 10 at Sherburne County Road 7/Deltone Road - VIP parking.
  • Highway 23 at 35th Avenue NE - North Green Park & Ride lot.
  • Highway 23 at 14th Avenue SE - Handicapped parking.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation strongly encourages motorists traveling through or around the area to take alternative routes such as Interstate 94 and Highway 15 in St. Cloud.
