Highway 71 will be closed to traffic from Lincoln Avenue to Franklin Avenue.

Traffic will be detoured southeast via Wadena County Road 104, Homecrest Avenue/2nd Street, Jackson Avenue, 1st Street and Colfax Avenue.

Semi-trailer traffic is asked to take the signed truck route via Highway 210 at Hewitt, Otter Tail County Road 75 and Highway 29 to Wadena.

Drivers need to slow down and pay attention to detour signs.

The city of Wadena will complete a road construction project that began last year. Work includes paving a final layer of black top, completing sidewalks/curbs and landscaping.

The entire project is estimated to be complete by June 18.
