Railroad work on Highway 27 in Little Falls begins June 2

Location: Highway 27 railroad crossing in west Little Falls, Morrison County.
Timeframe: Repairs will begin on Wednesday, June 2 and will take two to three days to complete, weather permitting.
Traffic Impact:

Highway 27 will be closed at the railroad crossing. Motorists will be detoured via Paul Larson Memorial Drive, Ninth Avenue Northwest and Lindbergh Drive/Morrison County Road 52.

Drivers need to slow down and pay attention to detour signs.

Project Information: Crews from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway will repair the railroad crossing.

During construction and road maintenance work, MnDOT urges drivers to:

  • Check www.511mn.org or call 511 for up-to-date information about traffic and road conditions.
  • Stay alert; expect the unexpected.
  • Never enter a road that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
  • Follow posted speed limits; fines double in work zones.
  • Be patient.
  • Plan ahead and expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
