Community invited to celebrate the opening of Hwy 27 in Little Falls on Oct. 22
BAXTER, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is excited to announce all lanes and sidewalks along Highway 27 on the west side of Little Falls are expected to be back open by Saturday, Oct. 26, pending good weather conditions.
To mark the occasion, the city of Little Falls invites the public to a ribbon cutting celebration at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22. The event will be held near Our Lady of Lourdes Church at the corner of Lindbergh Drive and Highway 27. The highway on the east side of Little Falls was completed in the beginning of September.
The $7.6 million improvement project reconstructed or resurfaced two miles of Highway 27 between 15th Street W and Ninth Street E, installed new underground city utilities, curb, gutter and sidewalks, improved signals and adjacent entrance connections.
MnDOT thanks the local community for their patience during this improvement project. For more information visit, mndot.gov/d3/littlefalls.
