Open house for future Reduced Conflict Intersection at Hwy 23 and Benton County Road 8 on Oct. 30

ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The public is invited to attend an open house on Wednesday, Oct. 30 to learn more about a future Hwy 23 Reduced Conflict Intersection (RCI) to be built in 2020 at Hwy 23 and Benton County Road 8 in east St. Cloud.

The open house will be held between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. at Minden Town Hall, 2989 Golden Spike Road NE, Sauk Rapids. There will not be a formal presentation and attendees are invited to arrive anytime to view layouts, ask questions and take home information.

The estimated $3.7 million project will also resurface four miles in each direction of Hwy 23 from Benton County Road 1 to Hwy 95.

RCIs, also known as J-turns, are intersections that decrease fatalities and injuries caused by broadside crashes on four-lane divided highways. To learn more, visit the project website at www.mndot.gov/d3/projects/h23stc.

For those with questions or concerns about the project contact Russell Fellbaum, project manager, at 320-223-6536 or russell.fellbaum@state.mn.us.
