Open house on Sept. 18 focuses on two future road projects in Elk River
ST. CLOUD, Minn. — The public is invited to attend an informational open house for future road construction projects on Highway 10 and Sherburne County Road 1 (Proctor Avenue) in Elk River on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
The open house will be held 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Upper Town conference room at the Elk River City Hall, 13065 Orono Parkway. The event is informal and attendees can arrive anytime. Layouts will be on display and project staff will be available to answer questions on both of these projects:
- County Road 1 (Proctor Avenue): Sherburne County will reconstruct the road from Highway 10 northward to the railroad tracks in 2020. The project will also add a raised median and turn lanes. - Highway 10: MnDOT will reconstruct the highway from Xenia Avenue to Fourth Street NW in 2021. Crews will add a multi-use trail on the south side of the highway from Simonet Drive to Lowell Avenue.
