UPDATE: Night work, lane closures extend on Highway 210 in Brainerd

BAXTER, Minn. – Motorists will continue to encounter night work and lane closures on Highway 210/Washington Street in Brainerd the week of Sept. 17.

Both directions of Highway 210/Washington Street will be reduced to a single-lane east of the Mississippi River between East River Road/1st Street and South 7th Street. The overnight lane closures will occur between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, on dry weather nights.

The work will take up to four overnights to complete, and will allow crews to fill and cap out-of-service city sewer pipes beneath the roadway. All work to be complete by 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21.

Motorists are encouraged to slow down and drive with caution through the work zone, especially at nighttime when sight distances are lessened.

The work is part of the Business Highway 371/South 6th Street reconstruction project to be complete by early-October 2018. To learn more about this project, visit mndot.gov/d3/brd/.

Road maintenance on area roads

Motorists to also encounter periodic daytime lane closures on area roads as MnDOT crews make routine maintenance repairs in Brainerd/Baxter through September. The lane closures will occur Monday through Thursday, between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day, on good weather days.
