Hwy 24 Clearwater to Clear Lake 2018 construction project begins April 30
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists who travel Highway 24 in Clearwater, Clearwater Township and Clear Lake will encounter construction crews, equipment and work zones after a project to improve Highway 24 between 179th Street in Clearwater and Highway 10 in Clear Lake begins Monday, April 30.
Initially, segments of Highway 24 in Clearwater and Clear Lake will be intermittently narrowed as shoulders close and lanes shift while crews improve sidewalks, curb and gutter and conduct other off-roadway work.
Beginning in mid-June, segments of Highway 24 will be reduced to a single lane overnight while crews resurface the roadway. More information on those overnight lane closures will be issued as details become available.
Highway 24 motorists in Clearwater, Clearwater Township and Clear Lake should slow down when approaching all work zones, and move over to give crews and equipment plenty of room to safely complete their work.
Highway 10 Clear Lake to Big Lake project begins in May
Motorists who travel through Clear Lake should also be aware that both directions of Highway 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake will be reduced to a single lane 24 hours per day beginning in July, 2018.
The closures are needed as part of a major project to reconstruct eastbound Highway 10 between Clear Lake and Big Lake, install a new Reduced Conflict Intersection at Highway 10/County Road 23, and make other improvements while lanes are closed.
