Tree removal along Hwy 25 near Montrose begins March 19
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists who travel Hwy 25 between Montrose and Watertown may encounter heavy equipment and occasional slow traffic while crews remove trees along Highway 25, about one-half mile north of County Road 30, the week of March 19. The tree clearing will take 1-2 days.
The work is the first part of a project that will resurface or reconstruct Hwy 25 between Montrose and Watertown. Major construction on the project is scheduled mid-May through mid-August.
The project will resurface or reconstruct eight miles of Hwy 25 between Montrose and Watertown, replace three underground pipes and one box culvert bridge, install new LED stop signs at the Hwy 25/Wright County Road 30 intersection, repair a slope north of Armitage Avenue, upgrade guardrail and install mumble/rumble strips. When complete, the project will improve the road’s ride, safety and drainage in the area.
