Postponed until late-July: Replace the Highway 169/210 bridge northeast of Aitkin
BAXTER, Minn. – The Highway 169/210 bridge project over Sissabagamah Creek near Aitkin, set to begin the week of July 10, is postponed until late-July due to utility relocation delays. An update will be sent when the start date is confirmed.
Intermittent lane and shoulder closures will be needed while crews construct temporary bypass lanes to carry traffic after the existing Highway 169/210 lanes are closed to replace the bridge.
Any questions about this project may be directed to MnDOT Construction Project Manager Matt Indihar, at 218-828-5737.
The Highway 169/210 bridge is located about three miles northeast of Aitkin. When complete in late-September, the $1.2 million project will replace the existing bridge with a double box culvert bridge that will accommodate a roadway with wider shoulders, improved overall drainage and an upgraded safety guardrail system.
