ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Highway 4 has reopened just south of Stearns County Road 14, 13 miles south of Interstate 94 between Meire Grove and Lake Henry.

The road closed Tuesday, July 12, due to a washout undermining the road. Maintenance crews installed a temporary embankment to reopen the road to traffic by Tuesday evening.

A local contractor has been hired to make permanent repairs. Motorists should be alert for shoulder closures or lane closures with flaggers controlling traffic, gravel surfaces, or slow moving equipment in the area for the next week.

More information will be sent out when available.
