Hwy 15 daytime lane closures in St. Cloud cancelled

Overnight lane closures will continue

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists on Highway 15 in St. Cloud will continue to find all four lanes open to traffic during daytime hours through most of this construction season. Highway 15 was scheduled to be reduced to a single lane in each direction for about one week beginning Sunday, June 5. Those 24-hour-per-day lane closures have been cancelled.

Overnight lane closures on segments of Highway 15 between Highway 23 in St. Cloud and Benton Drive in Sauk Rapids will continue, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., up to seven nights per week, until further notice.

The overnight closures are needed as part of a project that will resurface Highway 15 between Highway 23/Division Street in St. Cloud and the Benton Drive interchange in Sauk Rapids, and improve the Highway 15/12th Street N and Highway 15/County Road 1 intersections.

When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride, improve traffic flow and accessibility and improve pedestrian safety along Highway 15 in St. Cloud.

A separate Stearns County project to improve County Road 1 at Highway 15 in Sartell will begin later this year.
