New Hwy 371 open house and 2016 construction kickoff scheduled in Pequot Lakes April 15

Local communities invited to get latest information on four-lane expansion project

BAXTER, Minn. — Brainerd Lakes area residents, business owners and motorists are invited to attend an open house Friday, April 15, to learn the latest construction details and 2016 traffic plans for the new Highway 371 in Nisswa, Pequot Lakes and Jenkins.

Hwy 371 Project - www.mndot.gov/d3/hwy371/The open house will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Cole Memorial Building, 4285 Tower Square, Pequot Lakes. A presentation will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Those attending can view the latest design layouts, learn about the construction staging and traffic management plans for 2016, take home information, and meet with MnDOT and contractor staff to have questions answered directly from those working on the project. Refreshments will also be available.

A groundbreaking ceremony in Trailside Park before the open house at 2 p.m.
