Work complete: Highway 371 in Baxter scheduled to close May 5–7

Closure needed as crews replace railroad crossing

Click on map for pdfBAXTER, Minn. – Motorists travelling Highway 371 through Baxter should plan for delays as both directions of the roadway are closed between South College Road/Glory Road South and Highway 210 beginning Monday, May 5.

All lanes of Highway 371 in Baxter are scheduled to open overnight Wednesday, May 7.

A signed detour will direct Highway 371 through traffic along Highway 371B and Highway 210.

The closure is needed as crews rehabilitate the Highway 371 railroad crossing located just south of Highway 210 in Baxter. The project is being led by Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

When complete, the project will improve the safety and reliability of the local freight transportation system.
