Orange barrels on a highway

Lane closures on Hwy 95, local roads in Cambridge April 15-28

Crews prepare for Hwy 95 Rum River bridge replacement

Second Ave closed April 15-28

2nd Ave closed April

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists travelling in Cambridge may encounter delays as lane closures, road closures and detours on Highway 95 and local roads near the Rum River begin Tuesday, April 15.

Highway 95 near the Rum River will have shoulder closures and be reduced intermittently to a single lane during daytime hours. Flaggers will control one-way, alternating traffic through the work zone.

Also, Second Avenue Southwest will close between the Rum River Bridge and County Road 14. A signed detour will direct local traffic along Highway 95.

The closures are needed as crews install temporary bypass lanes as part of the Highway 95 Rum River bridge replacement project scheduled to begin later this year.

When complete later this year, the project will replace the existing Highway 95 bridge over the Rum River with a new bridge, improve safety with wider shoulders and updated lighting, and provide smoother pavement near the Rum River.
