Open house for Highway 10 interchange project in Rice
scheduled for April 3
BAXTER, Minn. — Area residents, business owners and other interested individuals are invited to an open house to present 2014 plans for the Highway 10/County Road 2 interchange project in Rice.
The open house will be held Thursday, April 3 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Rice City Hall, 205 Main Street.
Attendees will be able to view the project’s layout and design, learn about the schedule and traffic plans and have their questions answered directly from project representatives and local officials.
The $11.3 million project is scheduled to restart mid-April after being suspended for the winter, and lane closures could begin the same day.
When complete the project will
- Improve safety and traffic flow by replacing the existing signalized intersection with a full interchange.
- Provide a smoother and extend the road life of Highway 10 near the interchange and segments of local roads that are being reconstructed.
- Improve drainage, local utilities and make other improvements.
