Public invited to learn about 2014 project to reconstruct Highway 71 through Browerville
BAXTER, Minn. – Residents and business owners are invited to an open house to learn details for a 2014 project to reconstruct Highway 71 through Browerville.
The open house will be held Thursday, Feb. 6 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Browerville Community Center, 653 Main Street.
Those attending can learn about the project’s schedule, detours and plans to maintain business access, view a preliminary layout of the project, take home project information and get their questions answered directly from Minnesota Department of Transportation staff responsible for the project.
The project will reconstruct Highway 71 between Harris Creek near 11th Street and Drayer Creek near First Street, replace sidewalks, improve underground utilities, install new LED lighting, improve a segment of Fifth Street and an alleyway east of Highway 71 and install an emergency vehicle advance warning system.
