Detour via Church Ave and 2nd Street in downtown Albany.

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists traveling Highway 238 through Albany will encounter a new detour and possible delays as Highway 238/Railroad Avenue closes between Fifth Street and Ninth Street Monday, Aug. 5.

A short detour will direct motorists around the work zone.

The closure is part of a project to reconstruct Highway 238/Railroad Avenue through downtown Albany. All businesses in downtown Albany will remain accessible throughout the project.

The project will be complete by November.

When complete, the project will provide improved safety and mobility and upgrades to other important public infrastructure through downtown Albany.

The city of Albany is leading the project. For more information, including detour maps, visit the project’s website or the city of Albany’s website at www.ci.albany.mn.us.
