Highway 169 lane closures from Milaca, Onamia begin April 29
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists will encounter lane closures and possible delays on both directions of Highway 169 between Milaca and Onamia as segments of the road are reduced to a single lane beginning April 29.
The closures will initially occur from sunrise to sunset Mondays through Saturdays.
No lane closures will occur on northbound Highway 169 from noon to 10 p.m. on Fridays, nor on southbound Highway 169 from noon to 7 p.m. on Sundays if crews are working. Also, no lane closures will occur Memorial Day weekend from noon Friday, May 24 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 28.
The lane closures are needed as crews resurface the road, extend existing turn lanes, install upgraded signs and make other improvements as needed.
The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-July.
When complete, the project will result in a smoother ride and improved safety along 17 miles of Highway 169.
