Feedback sought on plans to replace Highway 24 bridge in Clearwater
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Residents, business owners and motorists are invited to an open house to get information and provide feedback on a proposed project to replace the Highway 24 bridge spanning the Mississippi River in Clearwater.
The open house will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18 at Clearwater City Hall, 605 County Road 75.
The project as proposed will build a new two-lane bridge at one of two locations near the existing Highway 24 bridge.
The current plan will also keep the existing bridge open to traffic while the new bridge is constructed. After the new bridge is opened to traffic, the old bridge will be closed and removed.
Those attending the open house will be able to review layouts for the two bridge location options and proposed rights of way for both alternatives.
Attendees will also be able to submit comments and have questions answered directly from MnDOT engineers and staff working on the project.
Questions about the project may be directed to Claudia Dumont, Project Manager, at 320-223-6530 or by email at email@example.com.
