New I-94 interchange configuration opens in Albertville
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists will find improved access between westbound Interstate 94, Wright County Road 37 and Wright County Road 19 in Albertville after a new collector-distributor road opens Thursday, Nov. 15.
The road is expected to open by 2 p.m.
After the road opens, westbound I-94 travelers will use a single exit – Exit 201 at County Road 37 – to access County Road 37, County Road 19 and the Albertville Outlet Mall.
The new collector-distributor road and other improvements made at the two interchanges will increase safety and mobility on I-94 and local roads.
Other improvements include upgraded lighting, improved drainage, new or improved ramps at both county roads and a new signal system and crosswalks that meet modern accessibility standards at County Road 19.
The interchange improvement project was led by the city of Albertville.
