I-94 still reduced to single lane between Clearwater and St. Cloud
MEA travelers should expect delays
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists traveling westbound on Interstate 94 between the Twin Cities and St. Cloud can expect major delays Thursday, Oct. 18, when backups occur as MEA weekend traffic navigates the single-lane work zone between Clearwater and St. Cloud.
Westbound I-94 is scheduled to be reduced to a single lane until 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, and again from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 19. No lane closures are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20-21.
Motorists are advised to:
- Plan for additional travel time
- Seek alternate routes
- Plan to travel when no lane closures are scheduled
- Use the zipper merge to keep traffic moving during times of congestion
The lane closures are needed as crews pave temporary crossovers and conduct other work as part of a project to resurface both directions of I-94 between Clearwater and St. Cloud.
