Highway 10 in Staples closing overnight July 9
BAXTER, Minn. – Motorists will encounter a detour and delays in Staples as Highway 10 closes between Cardinal Street and Second Street Northeast at 8 p.m. Monday, July 9.
A detour will direct motorists along Cardinal Street, Second Avenue, Second Street and then back to Highway 10. Highway 10 will reopen by 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 10.
The road closure is needed as crews set beams for the new Airport Road bridge spanning Highway 10.
Motorists will also encounter intermittent single-lane traffic on both directions of Highway 10 in Staples through mid-August, as crews construct the Airport Road/Highway 10 overpass.
