Highway 23/Division Street project in St. Cloud begins June 3
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Motorists will encounter day-to-day lane closures between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Highway 23/Division Street between Cooper Avenue and Park Avenue in St. Cloud when a resurfacing project begins Sunday, June 3. Work during the day will require shoulder closures.
The project is scheduled for completion in early August, weather permitting.
Work includes removing and replacing the bituminous surface, and upgrading the pedestrian access route along the Highway 23 corridor between Highway 15 and Cooper Avenue.
Pedestrians in areas of construction will be rerouted to the opposite side of Division Street during the pedestrian access improvement work. Access to area businesses will be maintained throughout the project.
Knife River Corporation of Sauk Rapids is the prime contractor for this nearly $2 million project.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
