Interstate 94 - CAPX2020 utility project from Hasty to Clearwater
Expect road delays on Saturday, Sept. 10
Beginning at 8 a.m., on Saturday, September 10, motorists will encounter delays on Interstate 94 two miles west of Hasty to Clearwater when Xcel Energy crews string wires across the Interstate as part of the CAPX2020 program.
State Patrol troopers will be on site to provide a rolling roadblock to assist travelers through the work zone. Motorists should expect to slow down and take direction from troopers working in the area.
Work is expected to take approximately three hours to complete, weather permitting.
CapX2020 is a joint initiative of investor-owned, cooperative and municipal utilities in Minnesota and the surrounding region to upgrade and expand the electric transmission grid to ensure continued reliable and affordable service.
The helicopter and implosive connector work is expected to last through October.
Motorists are reminded to keep their eyes on the road.
