Highway 25 traffic switch northeast of Monticello begins Aug. 12

Detours lifted at Sherburne CR's 11/14 and 17

ST. CLOUD, Minn. —Motorists will experience a traffic switch to the new southbound lanes of Highway 25 northeast of Monticello beginning after morning rush hour on Friday, Aug. 12.

Due to the excessive rainfall in recent weeks, the traffic switch onto the new southbound lanes planned for last week was delayed.

As work continues on the Highway 25 reconstruction project, motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures and traffic switches throughout the work zone.

At the same time, Sherburne County Road 17 will open to through traffic and the detour on Highway 10 and Sherburne County Road 11 will be removed.

The project includes widening intersections, installing dual left turn lanes at the Sherburne County Road 11/14 intersection and installing a single left turn lane at Sherburne County Road 17/200th Street.

Work to be complete by late October.
