Hwy 25 utility work in Foley scheduled to begin Aug. 15
Traffic will be detoured
ST. CLOUD, Minn. — Motorists on Highway 25 will encounter a road closure from Highway 23 to 85th Street Northeast in Foley beginning Monday, Aug. 15.
Traffic will be routed on Highway 23, 4th Avenue North, Benton County Road 43 and 85th Street Northeast.
Crews will install a new water main and sanitary sewer and upgrade Foley’s utility system. A new pipe will also be installed for the storm water retention pond, which will be constructed northeast of the Highway 23/25 intersection as part of the four-lane expansion project currently underway.
Utility work is expected to be completed by late August, weather permitting.
The four-lane expansion will take two years to complete and will improve safety, access and mobility on Highway 23.
During construction and road maintenance work, the Minnesota Department of Transportation urges drivers to:
- Check www.511mn.org or call 511 for up-to-date information about traffic and road conditions.
- Stay alert; expect the unexpected.
- Never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
- Plan ahead and expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
