Hwy 25 traffic switch northeast of Monticello begins Aug. 5
Detour lifted at Sherburne CR 17
ST. CLOUD, Minn. —Motorists will experience a traffic switch to the new southbound lanes of Highway 25 northeast of Monticello beginning late Friday afternoon, Aug. 5.
As work continues on the Highway 25 reconstruction project, motorists will encounter intermittent lane closures and traffic switches throughout the work zone.
At the same time, Sherburne County Road 17 will open to through traffic and the detour on Highway 10 and Sherburne County Road 11 will be removed.
The project includes widening intersections, installing dual left turn lanes at the Sherburne County Road 11/14 intersection and installing a single left turn lane at Sherburne County Road 17/200th Street.
During construction and road maintenance work, MnDOT urges drivers to:
- Check www.511mn.org or call 511 for up-to-date information about traffic and road conditions.
- Stay alert; expect the unexpected.
- Never enter a road that has been blocked with barriers or cones.
- Plan ahead and expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
