Highway 169/Elk River bridge project update
Crews begin paving operations and upgrade railings on the Highway 169/Elk River bridge project on Monday, June 6; weather permitting.
On Tuesday, June 7, the Highway 169 southbound bridge will close. Southbound traffic will shift to the northbound lanes on the overpass, carrying single-lane traffic in each direction.
The Highway 10 eastbound ramp to northbound Highway 169 will remain closed, and the Highway 10 westbound ramp to Highway 101 south will close to traffic. Highway 169 southbound to Highway 10 eastbound ramp will also close.

During construction and road maintenance work, the Minnesota Department of Transportation urges drivers to:
- Check www.511mn.org or call 511 for up-to-date information about traffic and road conditions.
- Stay alert; expect the unexpected.
- Never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
- Plan ahead and expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
