Nightime lane closures on I-94 near Hwy 15 in St. Cloud

 

CAPX2020 utility project

 

 

ST. CLOUD, Minn. - Beginning at 9 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 2, motorists will encounter left lane closures on Interstate 94 one mile in each direction of Highway 15 at St. Cloud to allow crews to remove and relocate jersey barrier as part of the CAPX2020 program.     

 

Work is expected to be completed by 2 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 3, weather permitting.   

 

On Thursday, Nov. 3, beginning at 9 p.m. crews will close the right lanes of I-94 at the same location to remove and relocate guard structures on this portion of the roadway.   Work is anticipated to be completed by 3 a.m., Friday, Nov. 4, weather permitting.    

 

CapX2020 is a joint initiative of investor-owned, cooperative and municipal utilities in Minnesota and the surrounding region to upgrade and expand the electric transmission grid to ensure continued reliable and affordable service.

 

Motorists are reminded to keep their eyes on the road.

 

The helicopter and implosive connector work is expected to last through December.
